VIETNAM | 9 SEPTEMBER 2024 — Christian Grandi of Italy-based Motor Power Company (MPC) joined Steven Gu (Gu Zhenzhong) and the EFC Motion team for meetings with industrial automation businesses in Vietnam, exchanging views on local manufacturing needs, technical applications and opportunities for cooperation.

Founded in Vietnam in 2024 as a locally led market-development platform, EFC Motion sought to connect manufacturers and system integrators with international motion-control technology and technical resources. EFC Motion received official distributor authorization from Motor Power Company for the Vietnam market, alongside direct engagement from MPC management in exploring local opportunities.
Hands-on market exploration
The September program included visits to local companies and business contacts, including SUN Automation and ITO Vietnam, as documented in EFC Motion’s photographic archive. Discussions centered on understanding factory requirements, identifying suitable motion and automation applications, and developing relationships for potential technical and commercial follow-up.
Grandi’s direct participation brought Motor Power Company management into conversations with prospective market participants in Vietnam. Rather than relying solely on remote research, the teams were able to observe the local business environment and hear first-hand feedback from people active in the industrial sector.
Connecting China, Italy and Vietnam
Steven Gu drew on his long experience in Motor Power Company’s China operations to support these cross-border conversations. The aim was to explore whether a locally based partner network in Vietnam could improve customer access, application discussions and follow-up for MPC technologies, while drawing on the existing capabilities of the company’s China and Italy operations.
The meetings illustrate tangible cooperation between EFC Motion and MPC management in exploring Vietnam as an additional market for industrial automation and motion-control solutions. EFC Motion’s development as an authorized distributor provided a commercial channel for such activities.
As Vietnam’s manufacturing sector continues to expand, EFC Motion remains focused on connecting industrial users with appropriate technical partners, practical support and internationally proven automation solutions.
